my hard drive crashed on my machine
and my product key went with it
please tell me there is some way to recover my product key to get my investment back
if someone knows where to go to get the product key on a dead hard drive that would be great
as in C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\.....
if that would even work in my situation

you don't need to recover the product key from your failed hdd.

Probably your licenses are still activated on the failed machine, due to the crash.

In this case, you need to visit your personal Octanelive page, and deactivate your licenses by pressing the red Unlock button beside of both licenses, Standalone and Plugins, if they are listed in blue as Active:
for Perpetual licenses
for Subscription licenses

When listed in green as available, you are good to go.
