[Blender] Hair partially see through

Hey,
I don't get what is happening here. Can anyone explain why in one model hair are partially see through why in other they are not? They use same material, both have emitter turned of. As you can see the right "wig" is partially discolored - it actually is like it has an alpha value or something. What did I do?
Can anyone take a look and figure out what that is? I have seen it in few instances and I just am "loosing my hair" over it
