Hi
I'm a complete noob at this software.
I've just downloaded the Octane x standalone from the app store. I've loaded the demo files. I can't see anything rendering on the render viewport.
I've followed the getting started instructions, clicked on toggle the geometry node and selected a target but nothing shows up in the render viewport.
What am I doing wrong?
Looking forward.

Hi,
which version of OctaneX Standalone have you installed?
You need PR12 or PR13 for M1 Max, please try with this demo version here:

I'd like to try the demo, but don't seem to have permission. Any way I can get access to this? The default app in apple store doesn't seem to want to start when I try on M1 Max. I click on render target but i don't see any errors, starts or stops. I tried on another M1 (first gen) and it started without issue.
Thanks!

Hi,
please try with the following native version of Standalone OctaneX PR13 for M1 chip, under macOS Monterey:

I would love to try Octane — I've entered Trial, but in the Downloads section I see only some outdated versions — Houdini plugin is from 2020 — more than a year old!
I see some links that appeared to be a newer versions in the forum posts, but I have not enough permissions for these downloads.
I would consider to buy it, but it would be nice to know if it works or not beforehand.
Is there any way to render with Octane on Houdini 19 on M1 Max? Or I'm out of luck?
Is there are something that works, but not available on the Trial?
If such builds exists, is there any way to try them before buy?
