Every version of c4d the default UI gets darker and darker. Octane uses dark grey icons. C4D R25 has a dark grey UI. Things are getting impossible to see.

could we get some brighter icons, which maybe use colour to denote that the icon is active?

totally agree, the whole UI is a bit sad to be honest.

Hello, it's added actually. First try to check your tool, see "GUI->Icon styles".
