UV-Mapping doesnt work for Hair Clones

I've go a simple hair setup using a custom map via UV-Mapping for the color of the hair. As soon as i activate the cloning option under Hairs > Cloning, the clones will not use the correct UV-Mapping like the original hair (images attached). Even when i try the C4D hair materials option for that (Color > Roots > Texture), Octane will not render it correctly. C4D Standard Renderer does. So it seems like an Octane limitation to me. Or am i missing something here?

Not a saved scene. Just attached c4d material on a plane with created a hair and changed clones

Well you can see in my scene, that it doesnt work. Two other people could also reproduce it.

You say you attached the material to the plane. Just to make it clear: I dont want to change the color of the plane, but the hair clones. ;)

I'm attaching the same texture to hair material also, it's just for comparing the result;)

Did you check my c4d file? The hair clones are not using the correct mapping, like the original hair. The setup is pretty basic with default settings. It would be nice to see your setup.

Oh okay, i see. You activated "Set Roots". I tried to avoid that, since it is making hair setups very slow. Any chance to get it working without "Set Roots" activated?
