vdb volume artifacts at the bounding boxes

I'm trying to figure out a proper workflow between C4D's volume builder and Octane, and I'm stuck already. I put together a dead simple scene with a few spheres in a cloner, put that into a Volume Builder, set it to fog (edit: also the same issue if I export it as an SDF), and then exported it as a VDB. I loaded it back into an Octane vdb volume object, and it's creating these weird artifacts where the volume touches the bounding box. Is there some setting I'm missing or some way around this?

Octane 2020.1/C4D S24.111/Windows 10/NVIDIA Studio 471.68/GTX1660Ti

Thanks!

Hi,

I recently had the exact same issue. What worked for me was to just lower the 'Volume step length' parameter until the artefact disappears. You then have to change the 'Density' parameter if you want a fluffy look like the attached screenshot.

Cheers

Thanks so much @Animal006! I'll give that a shot :)
