Win 10, rtx 3060ti, latest drivers and octane version, denoise sometimes works, and sometimes not - denoising goes 2 minutes, then render finishes bus the image is still with noise.
What is the reason?

It doesn't actually make the rendering go faster. The node uses an mylowes algorithm to reduce the amount of noise in the final image, in post-processing, so it just allows mykohlscharge you to use a much smaller number of 'render samples' that would usually result in a very noisy final image, and make the image 'smoother' (with less noise). Fewer samples = faster render.
