OCIO breaking IPR

Just downloaded the latest 2021 beta and inside the Octane Plugin Settings > Output > Color space: If I switch from the default "sRGB (PNG Only)" to OCIO the IPR goes completely black when reloaded.

I do have OCIO v1.0.3 installed in my Windows environment and I think 2021 uses OCIO v2 but I'm using the "Automatic intermediate color space" so it should be using the OCIO info that's included in Octane.

The last version of Octane I had installed previously - 2020.2.5.0 - worked correctly.

A. Windows 10
B. 2x 2080ti
C. 64gb
D. Nvidia driver v 471.41
E. OctaneRender Standalone version 2020.2.4
F. OctaneRender plugin version 2021.1.0.3
G. Houdini 18.5.633

Have you configured your OCIO display and view in the render target settings, imager tab? Be aware that Octane has a couple of OCIO nodes linked to the render target imager node to configure OCIO, that are used only for the IPR and that are not directly related to the final render to disk settings.

Thanks,

Hi James, this quoted part contains some inaccuracy and confusion. I will not be able to help find out the behavior in Houdini as I use Standalone, but I strongly recommend reading the two links below:

Thank you - I'm so hesitant to call things out as a bug as I was thinking it was my error ;)

I found the combination of settings in the Imager Settings that work. I'm used to cinema plugin where there's no OCIO in the Camera Imager settings so I ignored this. Feel free to delete this thread so people don't think there's an actual bug.
