Blender - Automatic activation

Hi Guys,

Our team started to use Blender, coming from C4D we like to know if we can make the Installation and Activation a bit easier just like C4D.
For C4D we use the unattended authorisation feature, making it very easy to start C4D with Octane even if the machine was off.

Is there a way for the OctaneServer for blender to auto start. So when we start up a machine it will auto connect.
Maybe we a file, a script, a cmd command ect. It's pretty easy to start the OctaneServer, but how to activate it?

Hope so!!

Thank you! :D

Hi!
If the server is running, Octane is activated simply starting the preview in Blender.

Sorry but that was not our question. :ugeek: We understand that IF it's running it will activate but we like to auto activate the server.

Is this possible?

Not sure what do you mean by "activation" at this point.
If the Server is running and still deactivated, simply launching Blender and starting a preview will make it active, without any need for any other intervention from the user (credentials have to be entered only the first time the Server needs to be activated, then there's no need for that and activation is basically "transparent").
So if you found a way to launch the server already, activation will be automatic and happening when launching a preview or a render.
My question is why would you need the server to be in activa state even if is not connected to Blender?

My experience is the following, with 1 and 2 in either order:

1.Start Blender
2.Start Octane Server

If I do not start the Octane Server, there is no render preview.
Instead, I get a message: NoRender-server at address "127.0.0.2" when trying to render a preview (or render)..
