A. Win 10 Pro 21H1
B. 2080TI and 3090
C. 32-64GB
D. Nvidia driver version 461.72 and 471.96
E. Standalone Octane: None
F. OctaneRender plugin version 2020.2.3
G. C4D R23.110
H. Steps to reproduce
I've got a question, I've tested this on many systems across various GPU's and various drivers. Only thing in common is C4D R23, octane 2020.2.3 and windows 10.
Why does pictureviewer use that much more ram as compared to liveviewer.
7.623Gb vs 10.907Gb that’s a whopping 3.3Gb difference.
Same scene, same render passes and literally only switching to render.
- I replaced all subdivs with octane, so that should be the same too.
- Tested in both LDR and HDR colorspaces, but that has no influence on the ram taken by octane.
