Hey,

I'm trying Saving to 32bit OpenEXR but it doesn't seem to work anyway i do it.

ocio : linear Srgb \ Aces 2065-1
frame buffer : HDR
File Type : EXR (32 Bit)
response in camera \ viewport : Linear\Off

the only way I've succeeded was using octane octane version 2020.1.5_-_10.19

there it has HDR\Linear Frame buffer that can be saved.

Is it a Bug?
I'm doing something wrong?

Please Help :)

thanks

Hello,

How are you evaluating the issue/failure? Everything works as expected on 2020+ and several 2021 versions I have.

A few corrections to the information you have shared:

• ACES via OCIO is recommended to be set-up in the preferences as "Automatic". This should result in
>Manual (Octane) ACES2065-1
>Manual (OCIO) ACES - ACES2065-1
Assuming you are using the rather inappropriate default ACES OCIO configuration file/package.

• 32-bit is overkill and in VFX/CGI productions, for beauty EXR exports, 16-bit scene-referred linear is recommended.

Looking forward to hearing back from you with more information.

I had several forum threads opened and did not realize it was the 3ds Max Octane sub-forum... Thank you Paride.
