Hi All,

i have continue crashes with latest Octane Versione (i didn't tried yet with previous version).
My computer spec:

AMD Threadripper 2990WX 32core
Nvidia RTX 3090 with latest studio drivers version 471.41
128gb ram
Windows 10 professional.

I'm trying to manage a quite simple scene without scattering.
It is about 5 mln poly but i assume i don't have problems with 24gb vram.
I also need to use Anima people but at the moment i don't have any obejct with standard cinema 4d materials applied. I know that is possibile to render them with Octane because i have already tried to convert 40-50 material but Octane converter wasn't able to convert the materials.

Attached the bugreport folder.
I need to render an animation in the coming days so i really need to know why i have continuous crashes.

Thank you so much

Hi,
there are no CUDA errors, or info about your scene in the logs, but the issue could be related to Nvidia driver.

Please, try to perform a clean installation of 471.11 Nvidia Studio driver:
https://www.nvidia.com/download/driverR ... 6851/en-us

If this version does not work, please try with the DCH version:
https://www.nvidia.com/download/driverR ... 6849/en-us

To perform a clean installation, please follow these steps:

Hi Beppe,

thank you for your reply.
Unfortunately i already did a clean installation of studio 471.11 Nvidia Studio driver and now i just tried the DCH version but the problem still continues.

My colleague has the same problem with Windows 10, Cinema 4d R20 and RTX 2070.

The only way to start the Live Viewer is to remove all the materials from the scene, start the render and then, after few second, click the "undo button" in order to cancel the deletion of materials and it works.
My colleague also tried in this way: he isolates one object of the scene, start the live viewer render and then turn on all the objects and it works.

Could it be a material problem?
The strange thing is that once you start making it, you can continue to work even with all the materials applied.

I also tried clearing the texture cache, it doesn't change that.
We can't work in this way.

Can I privately send the scene to someone and have it verified as soon as possible?
Thank you so much

Hi,
obviously you should not have all these issues.

Please write to [email protected], asking for me, and sharing the link to this discussion, thanks.

ciao Beppe
