Does current LW version have some boolean rendering capabilities ?

of course LightWave has. But you have to create a workflow that includes open vdb. with the help of open vdb you have the boolean functions as nodes for open vdb.
that means you convert the objects you want to provide with boolean functions into open vdb files and can than render this also as animations.
