Hi Paul,

would it be possible to include a translation slider so fine adjust maps and materials rather than having to guess and type in random nuumbers to try to get the map to sit where you want it.

Maybe there is a better way but thats what Ive been doing. If I load in a background of a wave onto a surface behind a scene of a character and the wave or the beach is too high or too much to one side i tweak it with the translation xyz but iahve to guess and put in number snad its goes all over the place and typing takes a lot of time. A slider would be great.

Also, whats the difference between using the transform or project nodes for getting maps to be the correct size, rotation etc?

Cheers

Tim

Hi Tim

The issue with a slider is that there is no maximum on that pin, so there is no way to scale the slider such that it has a minimum and maximum value. Which is why it's a numerical entry field.

Hi Paul,

how About a numerical number with up and down arrows. Must be an easier way of putting in lots of numbers than actually having to type them.

Cheers

Hi Tim - How much would the up/down arrows move the slider by?

Good question. Could the increment be realtive to the size of the object thats being mapped. so a .5 would slide it across half the width of the object. So working with this and the scale, you could get it to fit.

The Translate slider is used for a range of uses, so of which I don't think the plugin can determine the size of the object the Translate slider is being used on.

Mmm tricky.

On a different note, what does this mean.

How do I find the map thats causing the problem if thats what its saying.

There were 2 errors, one said loading scene and the other rendering scene

Check the Devices -> Octane Log, as that may show the filename. If that doesn't work, you might need to progressively delete materials until the culprit is found.
