Hello,
I got a model that uses "material layer". Every material we can enable it in the basic tab.
But I don't understand it clearly and could not find information in the documentation or I'm missing it
is there any documentation about it?

You can find the some words about it if you look to manual for "MATERIAL LAYER" under materials. Also it should be intuitive to solve by a few clicks. Each port's connection brings proper nodes can be connected.

It is the same principle.
You can start from scratch with a new Material Layer material, creating a base material in it, and then the various layers.
Or you can transform any single material in base material, and add Material Layers on it, with the pin you have highlighted.
