overview of Render Passes in preview release 2021.1 XB1

is there a walkthrough/instructions somewhere on how to set up render passes in this new AOV system? I can't seem to render out any passes in the exr render tests I have tried. no matter what aov passes i add the final exr has only one layer in it. i'd like to know if anyone can point me to some basic setup instruction or tutorial. Or is the updated multi-pass system not working yet in this preview release?

It sure seems like a great niche for a youtube content creator to fill...regular video updates on new octane features and workflows.

There's a BUTTON to add passes(render AOVs). Rest is same. It should not requires any tutors for my opinion.
There maybe missing functionalities, it's still an experimental build.

i guess the main problem for me was that none of the passes I selected were showing up in the EXR final render. so I guess it may not be user error as I had assumed but rather bugs that have to be resolved.

Some parts of render passes are not fully converted well to new renderAOV system. I think you try to save with OctaneEXR. Seems like there is some missing stuff which needs to completed for revisions.
