help me.. Why export animation to orbx is so slow? I am exporting 1000 frames and it took 7 hours !! What can I do to do faster exports?

Hi. Modo replicators get saved into the ORBX file as vertices (not as an Octane Scatter node), so replicators with a large number of particles, or with a prototype with a lot of vertices, will cause the export to be very slow due to the large number of vertices that need to be saved.

Hi Paul,
Why does dragging octane override materials to different groups rename the octane override material to that group name?
Is there an option to disable this so the original names remain intact? This has been an issue for me for years for Modo/Octane and it would honestly save me a significant amount of time.

Hi,
in build 184 (Windows), OctaneRender Viewport lacks viewport controls on top and statistics bar on bottom. All fine reinstalling build 182. Is it a known issue?

Hi - does deleting your MODO*.CFG file resolve the issue?

Hey,

I've just updated to the latest build. I'm on modo 13.2v1 and Octane 2021.1.3.184 Studio.
Now none of my scene load to Octane. Modo either crashes or the viewport windows shows up blank (just gray).
I've also updated to the latest nVidia studio driver (512.15).
I remember sometimes we had to use some older drivers. Should I downgrade my graphics driver? If so to whuch version?
Also I'm on a GeForce RTX 3060 12GB.

Why u cant do pbr workflow with modo material and texture? some textures work but metallic dont work for example and maybe convert direct to universal material.

Sorry, I just saw this message. You probably need to delete you MODO*.CFG files.

The current material conversion for Modo Materials to Octane Materials have been driven by the user community. If you have specific conversion rules you would like added, please document them here and I can look at implementing them.

I also mentioned this before. The override should do a conversion to Universal material. Metallness doesn’t work now.
So please make an override directly to Universal material.
