Hello,
I want to render an animation on my computer no1 and work on another project in LV on computer no2.
Do I need 2xC4d licenses and 2xoctane licenses to be able to do that?

Hi,
yes, you need an Octane license for each machine that has to work at the same time.
How many GPUs do you have in your machines?
If not more than 2x per machine, you can use a Studio license.
If 3x or more per machine, you need an Enterprise license.

I have 3 and 4 gpus in the machines so I will go for the enterprise then.
Do you know if I need two c4d licences as well or can I send a render from c4d-computer(no1) to computer no 2 with octane standalone.. or something like that?

Yes, you can export the c4doctane scene in .orbx animated format, and render it via Standalone on the other machine, while continue working in c4doctane on the first machine.

What about if two machines have four cards. Can we use one Octane licence if we set it to use only one card per computer ?

Sorry, do you mean 2x machines with 4x GPUs each, or 2x machines with 4x GPUs in total?

Anyway, if you use them with 2x Prime licenses, you can use only one GPU per machine, so 2x in total.
If you use them with 2x Studio licenses, you can use max 2x GPUs per machine, so 4x in total
If you use them with 2x Enterprise licenses, you can use all the GPUs per machine, so 8x in total.

I mean 2 machines with two cards -> 4 GPUs total and one Enterprise licecne. Is there way to say Octane Licencing system to use only one GPU at once for each machine. Or maybe disable GPUs in Windows Device panel is the way ?

just enable one GPU only, in Octane settings/Devices panel, that's it, but I don't see any advantage in doing this with only one Enterprise license.
Since you have two machines, you need two different licenses, to work with both at the same time.

Since the second machine has 2x GPUs, an extra Studio license is enough.

Or, since you own an Enterprise license, you can purchase an extra Render-Node annual licenses for 99€, or pay monthly for 9.99€

In this way, you can use the power of 4x GPUs in both Live View / IPR, and Picture Viewer/Render Queue final render, with animated and static scenes. So you can use its power in every phase of the scene preparation, speeding up a lot the workflow.
