Devices preferences "image" checkbox, what is it for?

Hello everybody,

maybe I have missed this in one of the update changelogs, but what exactly is the "Image" checkbox in the OctaneRender devices preferences for?
The Documentation does not seem to have it included yet, therefore I suppose it must be something rather new.

I am working with 2020.2.1 and NVIDIA studio drivers 462.31

Cheers and thanks
Ralf

Hi,
it is only a different way to call Tonemap, and should be always enabled, for all the active GPUs.
You need to disable it only if GPU is connected to a very slow PCI-Bus, like @1x.

Please also enable the Priority option for the GPU connected to monitor, end set the Priority popup to LOW, or MEDIUM, since HIGH means no priority.

One GPU for Denoise is more than enough, possibly not the one connected to monitor, to save some VRAM.

Finally please upgrade to 2020.2.3-R3:
