Hello Otoy,
I got a new system and want to know the best cofiguratoin for Octane.
System:
Ryzen 5950
RTX 3090
GTX 1070
Questions:
1. Will RTX work if i use the 1070 along the 3090? Will the latest Nvidia studio driver support both these cards?
2. Do i need to deactivate my license on my old system?
3. Is Octane 2020.2.3 R3 compatible with C4d S24?
Thanks!

Hi,
1. RTX will work but only on RTX 3090, obviously. Yes Studio driver supports also Pascal GTX 10X0 GPUs.
Please note that, when you use 1070+3090 together for rendering, the available VRAM is limited at max 8GB of GTX 1070. To be able to render with 24GB, you need to disable GTX 1070. Probably better to use it only for monitor + AI denoiser.
2. You need to visit your personal Octanelive page, and if the licenses are listed in blue as Active, deactivate them by pressing the red Unlock button beside of both licenses, Standalone and plugin:
for Commercial licenses
for Subscription licenses
3. You need c4doctane 2020.2.3-R2 or greater, to have the first support to new C4D S24 version, now we are at 2020.2.3-R3:

Thanks Beppe.
For installation i will:
1. Install standalone
2. Put the octane c4d plugin inside the roaming c4d plugins folder
simple as that yes?

Yes, but don’t forget to remove from the c4doctane folder, all the unnecessary c4doctane-RXX.cdl64/xdlib files not related with S24 specific versions, and leave only one c4doctane-S24.xdlib file in ../plugins/c4doctane directory!
