it seems like there is an issue with directional lights if added in - if I use the default directional light, everything works as it should, but if you delete the original directional light from your scene, then add one back, nothing works - the light appears, aiming straight down, but you can't change anything about it - it does not respond at all - I have the env set to lighting env and the octane setting is on daylight - am I missing something?

If you refresh the Viewport does the new light work?
Thanks

no - refresh or restart does not fix it. I just tested it some more thinking I missed something but its being very consistent - any ideas?

You need to select the environment material > set "sun light" = (your new directional light)
It's mentioned in the docs, under "Sun Selection and Direction"
https://docs.otoy.com/ModoH/ModoPluginM ... onment.htm
