Hello,
Is there a list of the supported GPUs?
Octane install guides are so outdated and just simply redirect you to this page
https://developer.nvidia.com/cuda-gpus
and that is not so helpful. My GPU (see below) is in the list but I am not sure if this is the actual compatible list, more like a list of CUDA GPUs.

Is this GPU supported by the latest OctaneRender for CINEMA 4D® demo:
GeForce GT 640M 2Gb memory

I downloaded this: OctaneRender for CINEMA 4D® demo
I use Cinema4D R23
Error "There is no CUDA device supported by Octane"

If I subscribe to the Studio (2GPU limit) Monthly subscription
19.99 €/month would that include the Cinema 4D plugin? As I need this for C4D.
Is there a free version for C4D R23? I can see the OctaneRender Prime Free tier but C4D is not on the list...

Thanks

Hi,
we had to switch to CUDA 11.2 to support NVIDIA Ampere RTX 30X0 architecture (compute model 8.x) on Windows and Linux. As a consequence, Kepler GPUs with a compute model lower than 3.5 are only supported on macOS (which doesn't have Ampere support) and needed to be discontinued on Windows and Linux.

Nvidia GeForce GT 640M is a Kepler 3.0, so, no more supported in recent OctaneRender versions.

You need to install an older version like 2019.1.5-R3.
You can find it by visiting your personal Downloads area:
https://render.otoy.com/account/download_archive.php

But please note that GT 640M scores only ~7 in OctaneBench 4.00c, while we suggest a minimum of ~45 for a smooth experience:

Here you can find the results of the currently supported GPUs for a comparison:

Happy GPU rendering,
ciao Beppe
