Hi,

Octane crashes and stops responding whenever I use Motion Blur on the Octane Tag.

Windows 10
RTX 3090 (RTX ON)
C4D R23.110
Nvidia Studio Driver 461.72

Code: Select all

Started logging on 27.02.21 01:40:29

OctaneRender Studio 2020.1.5 (8010500)

device 0: data size doesn't match memory size
OptiX error for device 0: [ERROR] "sbt->raygenRecord" is null
OptiX API error for device 0: Invalid value
device 0: RTX picking failed
OptiX error for device 0: [ERROR] "sbt->raygenRecord" is null
OptiX API error for device 0: Invalid value
device 0: direct light kernel failed

As you can see on the sample scene provided.

When you press play, the live viewer stops, Octane crashes.

Can you assist ? Thank you!

I'm trying to have my camera move, and have one object excluded from motion blur.

Please upgrade to 2020.2-R3, to have the correct support for new Ampere RTX 30X0 GPUs, and report back, thanks:

Thanks for your answer Bepe, it seems the crash has stopped but the Motion Blur tag doesn't do anything. I wanted to have an object excluded from the motion blur (selecting disabled on the tag). But it doesn't work. Am I missing something ?

You see camera motion effect, not coming from objects's itself. Same as shaking hands while taking a photo
