Ice cubes in a glass of sparkling liquid

Hi everybody! I've been working on a scene where I've got a glass with some sparkling juice in it and some ice cubes. And it's been a pain in a butt to be true. I've searched this forum back and forth and it's seems that there's no answer as to how to model and texture this correctly for Octane. There're some threads as old as 2013 and some from 2018 and they all say different things, but Octane has changed a lot since then and there's no updated info on how to approach this kind of scenario. Also I could not find a section in the manual dedicated to nested dielectrics which is also quite sad. Could anyone from the devs please give a clear explanation on how to tackle such a situation? I'm quite sure I'm not alone in my struggle when it comes to transparent object withing transparent object within transparent object :( Many thanks in advance! Really hope to solve this mystery once and for all ) P.S. I apologize if related threads exist in this forum and I somehow missed them :roll:

With fluids like that lighting is key. And within lighting also there is a difference between HDR and Emitters (texture or blackbody).

In the real world photographers also fake lighting or position them so enough light comes through the objects.

Something like this maybe. You see how the light shines through the ice and bubbles and both bubbles and ice still look white and not the same color as the liquid.

Yes, I would say try a fluid sim and use proper lighting

But for that kinda nicey effect I think lighting is key
Here is what i have come up with few weeks ago, not really the same but fluid sims like Realflow and lighting can do a lot
