Hi Everyone,
We're excited to announce that we have a new DAZStudio plugin developer!
We are very thankful for all the work that Paul has done for the DAZStudio plugin over the years. With the help of Paul, we have transitioned the development of this plugin to an internal OTOY developer. We will continue to update the DAZStudio plugin while simultaneously working to refactor and improve the plugin. We thank you for your patience while this work is being done.
Thank you.

That's great news.
It would be nice if you could involve the users in the process and send an update every now and then where you are.
Thanks a lot!
Greetings,
Michael
Das sind super Nachrichten.
Schön wäre es, wenn ihr die User in den Prozess einbindet und immer mal wieder ein Update sendet wo ihr gerade seid.
Vielen Dank!
Gruß,
Michael

Finally! I've been checking in twice a week since the last update, for some news. (.1.5.5) I am really looking forward to the next update.

Dear Otoy Team,
I am really happy to hear that. I hope the laundry list of items not fixed for more than a year will be finally be fixed. Please get in touch with us so that we can provide you with the pending fixes in a PM / email. I am willing to arrange for TeamViewer sessions with your team to show them the issues. I am sure others will be willing to do the same. Call can be over WhatsApp or Signal so that there are no international phone call charges involved. In Paul's list at the beginning of the 2020 release thread under Daz Studio there are many issues he has not listed. I just want to ensure you all have the complete list of pending issues for the Daz Studio Plugin.
I am more than happy to join the Alpha and Beta program to help identify issues with the Daz Studio Plugin.
Best regards,
Rajib

This is great to hear. I was starting to believe the plug-in was dead and looking at alternative workflows.
I'm sure the new developer will have a lot on their hands and can imagine the backlog must be pretty long. Sharing a release roadmap is far stretch, but just letting us know what is being worked on for the next release would be amazing. Its not so much about how quickly a bug fix or feature is done, its more about if bugs/features are even planned to be worked on.
Looking forward to future updates!

Hi,
these are great news. Will the current plugin / build still be updated /compiled with the newest core once 2020.2 is released because it contains some important bug fixes or do we have to be patient till the refactoring is done?

Beyond excited, but it's going to take more than a developer... at least in my opinion.

Great news and good luck. I haven't been super active here in a long time, mostly because it felt that the Daz plugin was a step-child here at Otoy. I actually did start working with some other workflows, but I've stuck to using my old clunker OCDS with all of it's quirks.
So glad to see that Otoy is still investing in it.

This is awesome news! Looking forward to hearing more and ready to dive into testing. As others above have said please strive to keep communication open on future progress/plans for the plugin; we've been kept in the dark for quite some time.
