Materials/Textures Grey in Octane Render

Hi guys,
I am probably missing something obvious so tried to look around and got no info I just started to experiment with Octane and Unreal today and right off the bat most of my materials/textures are gray instead of having the correct textures. Is there some kind of limitation of what materials and what settings I can use inside Unreal to have it rendered by Octane?
Thanks for any info.

if you can share the material setup that would be great.

Hi actually I am not sure I can as it is a paid material from the Reallusion Unreal Live link converter.
I can however say it is a masked material with subsurface profile. I will try to go over it or mimic it in a minimalized example once I have time since there is nothing really that can't be reconstructed anyway.

Can you upload the material by migrating it to an empty content folder and zip it up. I can take a look.

I've sent you the relevant files in a private message.
Thanks.

The most likely reason is unsupported material nodes.
I suspect there is a custom code material node in those materials. This can cause materials to be converted to black.
It is something I want to add support for, but converting code from one language to another is a hard problem.
There is also a warning system in the works that prints out conversion problems for materials.

Thanks Chris, for now I went with Octane Material overrides for the Octane Render view. The material itself uses tons of material functions so you nailed that the issue is with custom code.
The warning system would be huge help.
