Just a quick question: Is it possible to have octane 4 installed along with a studio version? I'd like to see how the RTX mode improves render times on my scenes.

you can get one month and then cancel. If you do want to upgrade, as a V4 boxed license holder, get the annual maintenance - it’s a full enterprise sub at half the price (for two years+)

My question was more about keeping the version 4 (the plugin and stand alone) and installing the studio version. Can they co-exist?

Yes sure, you can install several different Standalone versions without issues.
For plugin you need to install it in a different host application version.
Make sure to download and install the latest Studio version, and if you have an active license, it will be automatically activated by the server, when started.

For the plugin installation, do you mean like I should install the studio version on C4D r21 and keep the v4 plugin on r17?

Exactly, you cannot have two different versions of c4doctane plugin installed in the same C4D RXX version.
