Hi,
Does somebody use Hair and fur with Octane ? In old time I use Ornatrix, it is vary fast with octane and powerfull ( but cost money )
Hair and fur is really slow to compute for octane. ( or I don't use it well )
For fake hair, I succeed to use Multiscatter for some objects, and it is very fast to visualize in octane ( see pict : 380.000 "hair", evaluation time 2-3 s , for 4M, it take 20s... ) as it is instancing.
I tried with Tyflow and it works fine.
Hope Octane scatter will add something powerfull.

Hi HHbomb,
Hair and fur is less effective than TYflow or Ornatrix so it's not very popular in artists' workflows, so the developers focus their attention by implementing user requests as a priority. Octane scatter will be a useful new feature.
