What are you rendering and using denoiser with 3090? Didn't you try to use different settings to find what can cause it?

I didn't use it denoiser,The rendering settings I used can be exported in the previous project.

I tried to clear all the materials, but I can't export them normally. :( :(

I have the exact same problem on a scene (deadline tomorrow).
Config: Win 10Pro / C4D R23.008 / Octane 20.1.5-R4 / Nvidia driver 456.38
Intel Core i7 9800X / 96gb / RTX3090

Live Viewer works without a problem.
After launching the Picture Viewer the process is stuck at "exporting materials".
Scene is an architectural project. I checked all the materials one by one. Network rendering is off. Denoiser is off at camera settings, render settings and octane settings.
I tried to copy the scene to a new file, to no avail. There are no subdivided surfaces. File is on a local SSD drive. I also tried to save project with assets to a new location. Still the same problem.
Again, live viewer works.

The program is crashing even if I just try to launch the texture manager (it goes "Not responding" in task manager, but the CPU usage changes). I tried about 30 different combinations (deleting some elements from the file), but I couldn't pinpoint the source of the problem. If I delete everything, just keep a grass plane and the sun, it works. It works even if I LEAVE the materials in the file.
I suspect it's the octane scatter (trees & leaves), but I can't reduce the file to see which is the broken part.

Other files work as well.
Any ideas?
Thank you!

Hi,
please, open the scene, then go to c4doctane Settings/Other tab, and, at the bottom of the panel, enable all the Log option checkboxes.
Then, load the scene in Live View, then in Picture Viewer until crash, then reopen c4d, navigate to c4doctane Settings/Other tab, press the Generate log report button, and share the octanelog_report.zip file, thanks.

Thanks Beppe for your reply!
Here you go. I have two files, because it seems to me the c4doctanelog.txt resets when I reopen C4D, so I'm not sure if all the logs are generated correctly.
I made this second log file by pressing the generate log report when the picture viewer is stuck at the exporting materials phase. That txt file is much bigger, should have more info.
Thanks for looking at it.

Hi,
thanks for sharing the logs.

Since you have an RTX 3090 GPU, make sure that AI Denoiser is disabled in both general Camera Imager settings, and in each Octane Camera tag.

If not enough, perform a clean install of Nvidia Studio 457.30 driver.

Looking forward for your feedback,
ciao Beppe

Im having the same issue.
Just installed a 3090, and updated Octane to 2020.1.5_R4.
Running nvidia Studio 457.30

Denoiser wont work in the viewer. Main and Denoise look the same.

When I render the beauty pass it denoises the first frame but continues to load endlessly and wont progress.

When I go to octane settings and check "use for denoising", it selects, but when i close the window and go back, it is unchecked.
If i go to device settings, the denoise check mark is not there at all.

Any thoughts on this.
