Why does it take so long for a new frame to start rendering? There are no deformations so loading times shouldn't be this long. Exported the scene to Standalone and it works just as expected.
I've attached two videos showing the time difference between rendering in Houdini and Standalone. Using the latest version in 18.5.351

Well, while rendering the sequence inside Houdini, it must cook each frame and the plugin must extract the information before starting the rendering. In Standalone all this work is already done, it only needs to render the already cooked and extracted data.

In any case, if you enable the Octane log file in the plugin options panel, you should get more information about what's going while rendering the scene. If you want to attach it here I could take a look at it. Or if you can attach the full scene, I could also check it out.

Thanks,

I've attached both the scene and the log. Thanks for your help. Really appreciate it!

Hmm, yes, I see. Your frames are rendering too fast, and when this happens I had added a small pause (around 10 seconds) between the frames to let Octane finish all the rendering jobs and fix a problem related to duplicated frames when the new frame rendering started too fast. In any case, this was a rare issue, so I'm going to add an option to disable this delay and allow the rendering of these kinds of scenes faster, without any pause.

I'll add this option to the first Octane 2020.2 plugin build.

Thanks!

There is a new 2020.1.5.3 build including an option to disable this pause between renderings:
