Displacement Mix with Vertex Map

I am having an issue with a Vertex map controlling the mix
Mixing between two disps works if I animate the mix amount but not if I pipe the vertex map in - I do have the bake texture activated
Any help here would be appreciated

Could you post a screenshot of the node structure , or even better an example scene?

Hi Beppe,
thanks for the reply apologies this took a couple of days. I would like to solve this if possible
Here is my scene
If you unplug the vertex map the mix amount is animated, which works
If you plug the vertex map into the mix amount it doesn't work
(I am using 2x 8k disp maps into the baking node but they are not included for size reasons which is why I have a checker and a turbulence going into the baking node)
Sorry about the Dropbox link i can't seem to upload my scene file

Hi,
I think that the best solution is still to bake the Vertex Map with c4d tag, and use the image sequence in the amount of the Mix Texture node
Here is my version with Vertex Displacement, instead of Texture Displacement, to avoid to use the Octane Baking texture node, that does not support textures related to geometry, like Vertex Map or Dirt node, so it is useless in this case:
If you use the Vertex Map directly, it partially works only if you enable the Auto Bump option, but it is not correct:

have been playing around with this and the baking work around is a better solution, thanks Beppe
