Problem with Store Render Buffer

Hey Folks,
to make it short, I never had the Store Render Buffer option since I bought Octane. In the Demo Version it worked like
in any tutorial. But now, if I click "Enable A/B Comparison" and "Store Render Buffer" afterwards, there is not A/B Comparison.
Only thing that happens, is a Drop Down Menü, with "Image 1, Image 2 etc" which seems not having any effect.
I never found out how to get this working and gave up after a while. But with this annoying me every once in a while,
i thought I post this question here. Dont blame me for not googleing it, I in fact googled a lot and never got it fixed
