Hi Everyone, I'm pretty much a noob at 3D and Octane, so I'm figuring stuff out on the go. I know that in c4d native render when using a spotlight you can add noise to the texture so that it isn't distributed so evenly and that it creates more of an ambiance feel to it (not sure if this is the proper expression)...

I'm trying to figure out how to do the same with Octane so that the spotlight edges aren't so sharp, Any advice?

Hi,
you can add an Octane Noise in the Scattering pin of the Medium node, and play with Gamma and Contrast, to get the effect you want, note that you need to change the projection from Mesh-UV to Cylinder:
