Displacing only one side of poly

Hi all. I have a simple box that I would ideally like to displace differently on both sides of the polygons. Its a one sided poly with the cloth tag acting as thickness. I can see how you do this when its an image as you just need to use the side node, but can this be applied somehow to the displace? Any help will be appreciated.

What you are trying to do logically makes no sense. The cloth tag is going take the displacement and extrude it...which will inherently create inverted thickness of the opposing side.

There is no such thing as "one side" of a poly...that doesn't also impact the other side of the poly.

You will need to create true geometry: you can either extrude or you can bake the cloth tag...and *then* apply your displacement.

Thanks iceman9. Yeah I knew it was a long shot but as its possible with just a normal texture using the side node I wondered if it was possible to do it with the displacement too. Thanks.
