How Crucial is Using Studio Drivers Against the Game Ready?

Hi,
I was always using the latest Game Ready drivers by NVIDIA installed via GeForce Experience. And everything was ok, as I could see.
But I always read that Octane is recommended to be used with Studio Drivers. Tell me please, what I benefit if I'll get with Studio Drivers installed?

My GPUs:
1. GTX Titan X
2. GTX 1080
3. GTX 1080
4. GTX 1080

P.S. I'm asking because I actually cannot check and compare because when I install Studio Drivers my GTX Titan X disappears from the system device list and I cannot use it for render.

Hi,
Titan X should be a Maxwell GPU, while you should need to have a Titan X Pascal, in order to be able to use it with Nvidia Studio driver versions, that are limited to Pascal, Volta, Turing, and now Ampere GPUs only.

In theory, the machine should be more stable with Studio driver, but if you don’t have stability issues, stay with Game Ready version.

ciao Beppe

though gtx titan x is not listed in the suported list, it seems 451.48 studio is still working for it.
download the studio driver from the titan's entry, it is different from the Geforce entry.
(the studio driver of 451.48 is 536.19MB, slightly bigger than the game ready driver, so I am sure I am using the studio one)
