Can someone tell me what this means. Getting an instant crash doing an ipr of a scene.

What plugin version are you using? If you can share the scene I could take a look at it here, and verify if this problem is fixed in the latest Octane 2020.1.5 core, that I'll include in the next plugin build early next week.

Thanks,
-Juanjo

Commercial project Juanjo, so can't share and I am using the latest build of core and plugin. The annoying thing is that if I run ipr on the first frame it gives me a preview no problem but as soon as I try to do an ipr of any other frame it immediately crashes.

It can be a problem while updating the scene. What happens if you try to render the scene with F10? If it still crashes you could try to render it in full scene reload mode.

Thanks,
-Juanjo

Juanjo, thank you. F10 render works, I have now switched to complete scene reload, this is a complex animated scene of over 5000 frames so I don't know how that will impact render times but at least I now get renders.
