Orbx update? Where is it at?

I am just wondering the state of the ORBX file format? I abandoned it a couple years ago, when it "somewhat" worked. Like is it the best way to go between DCC apps now? I use FBX because I know it works, but still takes time and some work. We go from C4D to Modo DAILY. But this always seemed to be the answer, but never worked 100 percent correct. I don't have all the time to just sit and test things, as we stay pretty steadily busy (Usually fixing other things that don't work in the DCC apps, but thats for another post). So yeah, does anyone use it to go between DCC apps routinely with 100 percent accuracy or is the tried and true method of FBX still the way to go?
