How to alter vertex speed for proper motion blur?

Hey there,
I'm trying to get proper motion blur for OpenVDB mesher from X-particles. The mesher generated three vertex map tags ("Velocity x","Velocity y","Velocity z") which can be plugged into the "speed x","speed y","speed z" slots in Octane object tag for motion blur.
My problem is that the vertex map can only have values between 0-1, so even if the mesher is moving with some crazy speed, the motion blur will still be subtle. I could increase the shutter speed to very high value to see the motion blur , but other objects in my scene will also be affected and look unrealistic.
I'm wondering if I have missed anything or is there any smart solutions to multiply this "speed" parameter for precise control of motion blur.
Thank you!
