Temporarily pause updating in mplay IPR on macOS?

I guess there will be more questions about the mplay IPR now that Octane X is available on macOS. :)

Is there a way to temporarily pause sending updates to the mplay IPR so that the current render can continue without being interrupted by changes in Houdini? I see that this has been added to the Octane IPR some time ago and was wondering if there was a way to accomplish the same with mplay.

Hi,

Nope, I think that this feature is not available for the MPlay IPR, but I could add it to the "Octane IPR" shelf, that stores some of the MPlay IPR related functions.

In any case, the idea is to finish the work related to the new Qt5 based IPR window that could work in Windows/Linux/MacOS, hopefully replacing the currently outdated OpenGL and MPlay IPRs.

Thanks,

That would be great. It could as simple as a "Pause Update" tool. And selecting either Reload or Update afterward would resume automatic updating.

Looking forward to the Qt5 IPR. I know you guys have been working on it for a while. :D
