Problems with displacement

Hi all!
I am new to the forum, so if I make a mistake forgive me.

I am practically new to 3D, I am starting with Cinema 4D and Octane Render for a few weeks and I have a problem.

Every time I apply a material with "Displacement" this happens that you see in the following image.
Even leaving it by default that happens, leaving the quantity at 15, Smoothed normals ... etc.

Image

I need help, why is this happening?

By the way, is there a way to change the color of the lines of the image dimensions? (The lines that appear in the Live View that correspond to the final image of the render).

Thanks in advance!

More than likely the displacement value is far too large (defaults are a generic best guess). Try reducing the value by a factor of 10 and see what you get.

Thanks for your answer.

It has not worked, even leaving it at a quantity of 1, the model looks like "bloated", it looks better, but not how it should look...

I am following a tutorial, in the tutorial they put an amount of more than 15 and that problem does not happen to him. There must be some option that is wrong, but I have no idea...

The amount of the displacement is determined by the scale of the objects in a given scene. The tutorial you are using may not match your scene's working scale. Regardless, play with that value. That is where the answer resides.
