Hi,
very often when I let something render overnight. I come to my PC in a morning and my PC is turned off or just simply waiting for me with Houdini shut down. Anybody else has this issue? Thank you

I’ve had shutdowns recently with the summer heat and no AC causing a thermal shutdown. Setting custom fan curves fixed this. But maybe it could also be caused by an underpowered PSU?

Either way that would only explain the shutdowns but not Houdini just sitting there open... no idea about that.

Yes, this seems some kind of hardware or system issue. It is hard to say what could be the problem, but Houdini or the Octane plugin can't shutdown the computer themselves for sure.
