Hi! I am an Octane newbie. My live db doesn't contain anything. Any advice on how to get the library? Thanks.

If you are a c4doctane user, you need to click-select one of the categories, by expanding the black arrow to start to load and see the material preview icons.

Please, also note that you need to access and download LiveDB materials from an already saved scene, so the textures can be correctly saved in the “tex” folder of the scene.

If you are not a c4doctane user, pleaser post a screenshot, thanks.

you didn't specify which plugin and operating system you are using, anyway, if you are using a Mac M1/M2, latest OctaneX versions are distributed as free Prime version, to speed up the development, so LiveDB is not available.

Latest versions. Still not back.. what are we paying for if this version is free?
Should we pause our subscriptions? if all we get is prime?

Hi,
it is named Prime, but it is not like a CUDA Prime version, it is the full macOS Metal version with Network rendering feature, normally not available in a Prime version, and you need a Studio+ license to be able to have Network rendering.

The devs are working to also add LiveDB to macOS version in one of the next versions.

Ahh ok.. i would fix the naming to be consistent. that makes things more confusing than it needs to be!!!
