Slow Environment HDRI updates

A - Windows 10
B - 4xRTX 2080
C - 8GB
D - Studio driver 442.92
E - v2020.1
F - 2020.1 R7
G - C4d r21

If I rotate an environment with highres HDRI map (4k-16k) using RotX or UV transform it is very slow and updates every half second. Changing Power or other parameters results in same slow updates. In Standalone or in Blender plugin it is buttery smooth and view updates instantly.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Create an empty scene with HDRI environment.
2. Load a highres eg 8k environment file. eg from here: https://hdrihaven.com/hdri/?c=outdoor&h ... nk_farm_01
3. Try to rotate it or change any other parameter. The bigger the file the slower are the updates.

I don't see any problem as you described. You may have a partial problem with settings or setups. Could you please record a video to show it?

Note how choppy rotation and changing power looks like in C4D compared to Standalone or Blender plugin:
c4d choppy.mp4
(7.48 MiB) Downloaded 2176 times
standalone smooth.mp4
(13.5 MiB) Downloaded 2175 times
blender smooth.mp4
(15.69 MiB) Downloaded 2177 times

See video. You may have something wrong with your setup or octane parameters. Try to reset parameters for settings, also test it with Live Viewer.

Nothing happens when I reset the settings. They are the same when I restart C4D. Where they are stored?

Ok, I've found the setting file (oct.dat) and deleted it. After C4D restart all is back to normal and the HDIR updates are smooth as in Standalone. Thanks!
