Hi,

I purchased a c4d scene that uses vray materials.
Can octane read and convert them?
If not, is there a plug-in that will convert them?
Or, do I need to purchase VRay to convert them?

Hi,
what happen if you select all the materials in the Material Manager, and the go to c4doctane Live View, menu Materials/Convert Materials?
You have to check them one by one, but probably the texture nodes should be correctly converted to ImageTexture node wiuth correct path, saving a lot of time.
Please remove any c4d shader, and replace it with Octane or OSL nodes, with the exception of c4d Noise and Gradient nodes, that are now automatically converted into OSL node by c4doctane:
