Hi Octaners,

I got a newbie question.
Why do I get this dark egdes projected onto my surface while using Octane light (Both area and spot light)?
How do I get rid of it?

Cheers,

Daniel

Which Kernel are you using?
Have you tried in Path tracing with GI Clamp at 10?

Hi Beppe,

Just changed to your settings (Pathtracing and 10 GI Clmap) but still having same weird behaviour.

Hi,
difficult to say without the scene, it could depend from reflection or refraction, or geometry thickness and normals
You can use the Multi pas system to split the render and check where is the issue, exactly.
Try to enable the Thin wall option in the Common tab of the Specular material, to remove the refraction/thickness effect, to see if it helps.

ciao Beppe

What is your scene scale? Try adjusting the rayepsilon perhaps :)
