Hi, When I export i have hard edges on my mesh(you can see the polygons). The SI to O plugin by Face doesn't work right in the demo I think, so I'm not using that. The polygons are not smoothed.
I just exported as obj.
SI 2012 sp1
Octane 2.46
Thanks

I don't know that there is a demo version of my plugin

But hard edges work, also with subdivided surfaces...

Your plugin doesn't work well with Octane demo. It messes up the positions of objects.
When I export using normal obj export it doesn't.
How do I make SI export smooth meshes? SUB D?

I don“t know which plugin version you use, the current is 2.48c and it support hard edges.
You can see it on the image, where a subdiveded cube with hard edges is used as an instance shape for particles with randomized colors.
Also an exported area light is used. The plugin converty all area lights to a real geometry...

exporter scripts are available only to customers for now, but if you want to test it just export to obj from softimage following the tips in this thread
http://www.refractivesoftware.com/forum ... f=21&t=362 and then add a new mesh node in octane and load the obj file.
