Yes, the Hydra plugin is in development. It is a whole new Octane plugin, not related directly to the main Houdini plugin, that will be available soon.
Thanks,

Hello juanjgon,
How soon ?
The Hydra integration is very very important for Professional production, we need it.
Thank you,
Benjamin

I remember back in November 2019 you guys also said it "should be available soon".
Last specific info was "around 2020.1 stable". 2020.1 production release is out now.
And the last release email I got, listed it as one of the features, but it wasn't part of the install, which was a bit misleading.
Now I'm not sure if I should install this production release just to see it's not there either.
So is it days, weeks or months away ?
This is not a rant - just asking

I have rented 2 licences for Hydra support. I did it, because this was written in this email....

It just supports usd preview surface right now, and we felt it’s best to finish hooking up the full octane shader graph form the H plugin to to hydra before first public release. 2020.1 has been stable for just a few weeks, the Hydra RD is coming out before we move to the next version release this summer.

Like in any commercial field.
Communication departement making false statement to tricks customers....developpement and support team take blame for it....
Kinda sad in every way.
I'm kinda angry too but i'm not sure it's a good idea to blame people here.
Otoy really need to fix the way they communicate during Black Friday period.
Keeping customers trust is a key to succes.

If any of you really wish to test hydra Solaris in its current form and cannot wait another week or two, let us know. We wanted to at lest finish the full octane material/node/volume support in hydra before sharing, and that’s just now wrapping up.
