Octane and cinema 4d emitter objects - help! :/

Hi guys,

Have been trying to solve problems alone and banging my head against a brick wall, any help would be gratefully received!

I am trying to output render passes, as I usually try and and render things and get them, into my flat images in a bit of a brutish way, mainly due to not learning the 'proper' way to do it, however when you are on a deadline you need to get to the final result as fast as possible. I am now sure that if I just learnt a few things I would be far faster!

So first question, I have diamonds emitting from an emitter... so I need to work out how to get a pass that shows:
1. The diamonds - alpha channel
2. The post of glares/bloom

I know octane prob doesn't see the diamonds, so is there any way of getting the alpha output without 'current state to object' ? as I am going through frames of them falling, then clicking render...

I tried giving the emitter an octane object tag and giving it a layer ID (prob totally wrong but thought i'd try it)
Then also added 'post' to my multipass but that is blank.

So am stuck! Any help would be great.

Thanks again in advance! :D

Hi,
it is always far more easy to help, if you share some screenshots, or even better also an example scene that shows the issue.
Anyway, if you are using Specular or Universal materials, have you tried to enable the Affect alpha option in the Common tab?

Please, also have a look at the Render Layer technique here:
