Hi there,
I wonder if anyone could help me with the optimal workflow for creating layer masks for compositing.
I simply cant lose the slight transparent fringe around the objects when i have applied the luma matte in after effects.
You can see the result here.

Any help would be great thanks

Try exporting the layer masks as OpenEXR 32 bit files. Might help :)

Hi, have you tried "Hide from camera" mode. It does not cut out objects holes that are from other layers.

This is an issue with every renderer I believe. Especially if you are comping in AE. I hear this isn't as much of an issue in Nuke. I always try and fix it with simple choker/matte feather in AE. Or ive heard of people rendering at a higher resolution and then scaling down. Supposedly that helps/works.

Hopefully this helps you. Might be better to try cryptomattes? Not sure.
