"Freeze" Problem using C4D fields and volume mesher

Hello all,
I have quite a simple scene with a sphere as a volume mesh and some fields deforming it. I am trying to export 500 frames of animation out of it.
I have this strangest problem where my render will get stuck on my scene at random frames. No crash at all, just GPUS going idle in the middle of render until I alt-tab back on the application and the rendering resumes... Usually happens in the middle of rendering a frame (not at the beginning or end of it). Happens even if I leave C4D fullscreen working, I need to Alt-Tab to "wake" the render every 5 minutes or so.
Never had this kind of problem before and every other project works like a charm, should be linked to fields / volume mesher somehow as it is the first time I tinker with them. I tried to disable one gpu but the problem persists.
Using Octane Enterprise 4.05 with dual 2080Ti / Windows 10 / AMD Threadripper 2950x
